Camping rules & regulations
Rules, and Guest Information and Policies are incorporated herein by reference. All Waivers & guidelines sent electronically must be signed before entering the Campground. Licensee’s License Agreement is subject to all Campground Rules, Policies & Regulations, as may be changed or amended from time to time without advance notice to Licensee. Violation of the Campground Rules will subject the Licensee, Family, and all guests to immediate removal from the Campground.
GENERAL
- Please adhere to any additional rules updated in our brochure, posted, or on the website. Campers must bring towels and bedding. These items and maid services are not provided. Limited bedding is available for rental.
- All guests/visitors must: abide by all local laws, regulations, posted speed limits (including bikes, skateboards, etc) & safety rules
- Bath houses are open 24 hours a day, except during posted cleaning times. Children under 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult. No pets are allowed in the bath houses.
- Children must be supervised at all times and are parents/guardians responsibilities. All campers under 18 must be at their campsite by dusk or chaperoned by a parent or guardian
- To prevent invasive species and comply with NYS DEC firewood restrictions: Only firewood from sources within 50 miles is allowed. You may not harvest or sell wood on the premises. The campground offers firewood for purchase.
- No outside boats, kayaks, canoes or inflatables are allowed in either pond.
- Golf Driving Range posted rules must be followed. Campstore can share clubs or take credit cards. Campers are responsible for unattended children in the Range & may be removed from campsite and/or their license revoked
- Campers burning plastic, oil, or anything other than wood, coals & LP will be asked to vacate their site. No fireworks allowed.
- Guns & ammo must be stored in a camper or vehicle beyond compliance to New York Penal Law § 265.45 by not carrying guns anywhere on the premises
- Partisan-political, divisive, discriminatory, offensive, crude/vulgar, violent, disrespectful, or unwelcoming signs or displays are not permitted.
- Quiet Hours begin at 10PM. Music/festivities shall be reasonable enough to not disturb others enjoyment at all times
- Mowing occurs on a regular basis typically M-W weather permitting. Keep your site as tidy as possible to prevent damage to property during mowing. Campground is not responsible for damage to property outdoors.
- Water needs to be turned off if you are leaving the Campground to prevent hose leaks and breakage.
- There will be no outside alcohol permitted inside the Bar & Grill and Events Center. Violators will be asked to leave the grounds.
- Laundry – Empty lint traps before and after. No pet laundry, bath mats or muddy gear allowed.
- Please leave the backflow preventers on the water line. You will be charged if you take them with you after checking out.
VISITORS
- Day Visitors need to leave by Quiet Hours/10pm. Four (4) Visitors are allowed per site & no more than six (6) Overnight Campers per site
- Visitors are not allowed past Campground gates unless approved & registered at the Campstore.
- Nightly Campers: max 5 Day Visitors – ages 0-2y free, ages 3-17 $3, adults 18+ $5.
- Max 5 Day Visitors – ages 0-2y free, ages 3-17 $3, adults 18+ $5.
- Campers have a responsibility to ensure visitors register. ONE warning will be issued for an unregistered visitor with a $5 visitor fee and $20 penalty charge for each unregistered visitor. Registering visitors is required for insurance purposes. Repeat offenders will be asked to vacate.
BOOKING & CANCELLATION
- Holiday weekends are non-refundable & full payment is due at time of reservation.
- June 1 to September 1: Cancel more than a month out from reservation date-one there is a (1) day cancellation fee; Cancellations between zero (0) to thirty (30) days from reservation date – no refund
- Off Peak Season: Cancel more than a month out from reservation date -$25 cancellation fee; Cancellations between fifteen (15) to thirty (30) days out from reservation date -50% cancellation fee; Cancellations <15 days-no refund
- PLEASE NOTE: Your balance is due in full 7 days prior to the day of arrival. Any outstanding balance will be automatically debited 3 days prior to arrival.
- To avoid losing your payment, please call us within 48 hours of your check-in to modify your reservation. We’re happy to help — (315) 204-4171.
- Check-in is 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Check out at noon. Check out after 12:00 p.m., $10.00/hour will be charged to the credit card on file if you have not vacated the site or received prior approval for late checkout. No refunds will be given due to poor weather.
VEHICLES
- Max two vehicles per site allowed, additional registered cars can park in one of the parking lots.
- No golf carts (staff only), ATVs, motorized scooters, or other recreational vehicles/toys (Other than self-propelled)
- All vehicles must register and display vehicle tags during their stay. Each camping site will be issued a maximum of 2 key cards for use at the entry gate for use by the Registered Camper’s Vehicles ONLY. Violators of this policy will be asked to vacate their site immediately. Return the key card to the office or drop box on site – there will be a $25 per card fee to the credit card on file if damaged, lost/stolen or not returned.
- The speed limit is 5 MPH. All bikes, scooters, skateboards & skates must observe 5 mph speed limit and one way signs
- By NY law <14y olds must wear a helmut on bikes, scooters, skateboards, inlines. Everyone is asked to wear one & be good examples. Bicycles need to be parked at dusk. No downhill riding w/o brake usage & obeying the speed.
- Washing campers and vehicles is prohibited.
PETS
- All pets must: 1) have updated rabies vaccination records on file 2) be kept on a leash 3) be quiet during quiet hours 4) have all waste collected (including hiking trails) in sealed bags and disposed into outdoor trash receptacles
- Maximum 3 pets per site. Campers that fail to clean up after their dogs will be fined $75. Visitors are not allowed to bring pets.
WASTE
- Trash: dumpster located just outside the exit gate. Recycling: Bottles and Cans only (for charity) in between dumpster and gate. No garbage in the restaurant/bar dumpster or placed in any other locations on the Premises
- Waste (both grey and black-water) valves on RVs must be in the shut position unless actively dumping.
WATER ACTIVITIES
- Water recreational rentals during Camp Store hours only, inquire therein.
- No fishing in the swimming/boating lake. Fishing in the lower pond is catch and release only. Please respect the wildlife and keep the waters free of trash or contaminants. Campers may fish without a license. No dumping bait. Feeding fish in either pond can cause algae blooms and disease to the fish, so please refrain from feeding the fish.
- Swimming hours are 12 – 6pm daily. There is NO lifeguard supervision. Minimum of 2 adults (18+) must be present, with 1 adult on the beach at all times– NEVER SWIM ALONE! All children must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for their safety and behavior. All adults must read and sign a pamphlet and obtain wristbands for their party – must be worn by everyone.
- Swimming in the swimming area only.
- Pets are not allowed in the fishing pond or on the beach.
STRUCTURES
- Porches and covered porches: w/prior management approval only, maximum width 10 feet, maximum length no longer than camper. Not allowed: permanent fences, flag poles with permanent ground structure/support, clotheslines, sheds, or other exterior additions. Unauthorized structures will be removed at the cost of the camper.
Data Collection And Use
- Generaterra Inc, trading as Scenic View Campground, will not share or sell subscriber information with 3rd parties for their direct marketing purposes.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
